Practice becomes performance.
The Vernon Performing Arts Festival is a chance to play, sing, dance, recite, or act in front of a real audience. Classes are available for children, youth, and adults, with eligibility set by each discipline's syllabus.
Every entry is adjudicated. Marks and placements are given only where the class rules provide for them. Comments stay private unless the student and parent agree otherwise. Awards and scholarships go to some competitive entries.
The Gala Awards Night is the one part the adjudicators do not choose. We look for a spread of performers across teachers and studios, and we work around who is available. Many invitations go to scholarship winners and provincial candidates.
The society was founded in September 2024. The inaugural festival ran April 27 to May 4, 2025.

Donor and sponsor support funds the festival's full operating costs, which lets entry fees stay low so any performer who wants to enter can enter. Sponsorship tiers run from $25 enthusiast to $2,000+ platinum. Donations are not currently tax-deductible.
